JENING ULANQUAB

Jening Ulanquab was an invited competition project for a new mix-used city center in China, which was to include civic, commercial and residential buildings as well as broad green boulevards in a gridded pattern. The competition called for a master plan as well as an architectural vision for the new town. The proposal envisioned a large central park doted with important civic buildings. The green would be framed by a dense urban fabric, punctured by angled interconnected public plazas, which would allow for pedestrian flow within the larger city blocks.
